Films: Plastic is Forever & Smog of the Sea

Caring for the Earth Film Series

Plastic is Forever
Smog of the Sea

Co-sponsored by the Cape Cod Wildlife Collaborative

Both short films are new, and examine the widespread pollution in our oceans, particularly plastics.

“Plastic is Forever” was made by 13-year-old Dylan D’Haeze, who lives on Orcas Island.

Smog of the Sea

Directed by Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Ian Cheney, with an original score by Jack Johnson.

Following the films, members of the Cape Cod Wildlife Collaborative will talk about the work they do to protect, rescue, and rehabilitate the Cape wildlife that get entangled with plastics and other kinds of pollution. They will have information tables so you can find out about the work of each individual organization.
