Coastal Studies Bryan Legare will offer up their latest study, "Storms, Sea Level Rise, and Coastal Flooding in Truro: Now and in the Future." The Center for Coastal Studies working in partnership the National Weather Service (Taunton Office) has developed a new method for mapping inundation from storms and sea level rise. As part of a Coastal Resiliency grant from the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Management, the Town of Truro was mapped using this new method. This data will be posted onto the National Weather Service's Coastal Flood Threat and Inundation Mapping webpage so the public can see potential inundation in real time. Come see how they did it!
Admission is free although donations are appreciated
